Premiere Guitar, the eminent guitar magazine for people who want to read guitar magazines without tabs or Slash on every page, is running a contest for one lucky stiff to fly out to NAMM and write a column for them for one day. And that lucky stiff just may be my roommate/partner-in-sound Clayton!

The Latest from De-Pixelated: Yes, we do a Max Payne thing this time

And no, the man himself is not in it, so deal with it. Our latest De-Pixelated episode is up, though - check it out. I originally wanted to write all the music for the short, but the ol’ Max Payne theme worked way better. And what I wrote didn’t particularly fit with the mood…so it turned into credits music. The whole track is on Soundcloud; I’ve included it below.

Dustforce (aka Shaolin Broomhandle) is out on Steam!

So it’s out now. The ninja janitor game. Seriously, I’m super excited.

I feel somehow I should also mention that Fez has been out for a bit now, and if I’d gotten to play it yet for longer than 5 minutes I’d probably say it’s amazing. Someone buy me an XBox dammit!

De-Pixelated off to a start with a bang, a bang that sounds like it's saying "Brrraaaiinnnsss"....

So for the past few months, the Blue Goggles crew has been making a video-game-themed short per month. It’s been super fun, and we’ve gotten some internet exposure via Machinima and Gametrailers, but now even greater things have happened - we got picked up as a series by Gametrailers!

So I am super psyched to announce that the first episode of De-Pixelated is officially up! It’s all Resident Evil-y, based on the new one (I know, I know, trust us, the short is better than the game). We got to hang out with zombies and Tyrants for two nights of blissful production! Me and Clayton (the other half of sound team) also pulled a pretty exciting/hallucinatory all-nighter to get the mix done, so hopefully you can feel the love/insanity put into the episode. Did I mention zombies?
